Course Contents

This two-day workshop is designed for beginner and intermediate level photographers eager to enhance their skills in studio lighting and post-production techniques. Participants will gain hands-on experience working with a professional model and high-fashion garments, leading to a comprehensive understanding of lighting setups, colour theory, and retouching processes.

Day 1, 30th November: Participants will learn creative studio lighting setups that enhance model features and highlight
fashion garments' silhouettes and fabric textures.

Day 2, 1st December: The focus will shift to colour study, basic retouching techniques, and colour grading to achieve a
polished, high-end finish for their images.

Outline Daily Schedule:

Duration: 8 hours per day (with a 40-minute lunch break)

Day 1, 30th November
- Introduction to lighting techniques
- Practical sessions with professional model and designer pieces
- Shooting time to implement learned techniques

Day 2, 1st December
- Basic retouching techniques in Photoshop
- Colour theory and grading sessions
- Skin retouching for high-end quality
- Final editing and feedback session

- Hands-on practice with studio lighting setups
- Working with a professionally represented model
- Capturing images to be used in the retouching workshop
- Learning basic retouching techniques in Adobe Photoshop
- Exploring colour grading to elevate the final images


Instructor Profiles:

The workshop will be led by Roza Wiktoria Tyborowska, an official Nikon Creator and a versatile photographer skilled in both digital and analogue mediums. Roza is known for her unique blend of photography and darkroom printing techniques, often exploring themes of self-discovery and healing. With contributions to high-profile fashion publications and a portfolio that includes work for brands like Dior and renowned athletes and musicians. Fashion Collaboration:

Participants will have the opportunity to work with garments from the acclaimed designer Maximilian Raynor, known for his romantic and dramatic styles. His designs have been worn by celebrities and he is recognized for his focus on storytelling through fashion. This workshop offers a unique opportunity for photographers to develop their skills in an immersive, collaborative environment. Participants will leave with a deeper understanding of studio lighting, retouching techniques, and the ability to create stunning, high-quality images.

Nikon School experts will also be on hand to help with any technical camera questions and show you how to get the best out of your camera and lenses. We will also have a range of cameras and portraiture lenses such as the 58mm f/0.95 NOCT, 135mm f/1.8 PLENA, 50mm f/1.2 and 85mm f/1.2. for delegates to use.
