Outstanding course on still life

RATING: 5 of 5

COURSE: Nikon x National Gallery: Exploring the art of Still-Life within Paintings and Photography

This was my first course with Nikon and I wasn’t sure what to expect. However, I needn’t have worried as the presenters were both knowledgeable and able to present in a clear and inspirational manner. I really enjoyed Lucy Chiswell’s analysis of the still life which set the scene for Donna Crous to demonstrate how similar effects could be achieved in photography. I found Donna’s demonstration of the effects of changes in lighting particularly helpful. Thanks for an inspirational course!

COURSE: How to: Low Light Cityscapes

It was the first course I attended with Nikon not knowing what to expect. It was very interesting, informative, small group and overall excellent delivery. Neil was very friendly and passionate about his work. He covered all the questions asked by the group. I have now enrolled for 3 more course. Thank you Nikon

COURSE: Digital Darkroom: Introduction to Lightroom Classic

I've used Lightroom for some time but I had not realised how little I knew about it. The course showed me its capabilities and the best ways of working with it. The tutor used a range of images to show us what can be donee.g., a beach scene, a night scene and so on. The session took us through the process of using Lightroom from importing to filing to adjusting the image. I learnt loads and really enjoyed it - thank you!

Tuition on my D5 and SB-5000 and AF Settings

RATING: 5 of 5
DATE: DECEMBER 2020

COURSE: One To One Online Tuition

I had a session with Neil, which was highly educational; we went through my D5 and SB-5000 combination and covered AF options for shooting sports. Neil also kindly agreed to show me how to use the WR-R11a when I get it on back order. It was a highly enjoyable session.

Just the job

COURSE: Getting Started with Photography - Pt. 1

This course was run by Neil via Zoom and it was a really good experience for the whole afternoon. My own personal goal for attending the course was to move away from automatic settings and I now feel confident that I can do this and have a bit of a bash! Things were explained very clearly all the way through and it's all made perfect sense. I would say that the course is ideal for people just getting started all those who want to take the step. It was an excellent experience.

COURSE: Getting Started with Photography - Pt. 1

This was an excellent course in getting to grips with the basics on how to set up a DSLR along with taking the fear away of the multitude of settings and menus. Neil explained settings and various buttons in such a way that even a novice could understand, taking time and not rushing through things. He clearly explained what was needed to start you on the journey of becoming a competent user of a DSLR camera and I look forward to another course to develop my skills further.
