Excellent meeting. Very knowledgeable trainer. Big benefit of a one to one is the ability to completely get to your questions and wishes without the upsetting a group dynamic which is different. Managed to really understand some of the subtleties of the HDR feature v RAW photos and also several Menu Setup functions not previously understood from reading the manual

A very informative course, well paced giving you time to follow items shown in the menu etc.
The sections were covered in quite good depth and the instruction was clear and precise.
I got nearly all I was hoping for from the course especially the section on all the aspects of focusing.
I didn't come away with feeling it was 3 hours of information overload.
Well done Neil and Ricci.

Great course, thought I already knew my D850 quite well but still learnt a few new things

I have recently moved over to Capture One and agree with Neil's observation that the colour rendition is so much better than Lightroom! I had watched David Grover's videos via YouTube and it was great to find he was leading the course! The examples used were very relevant to me and the enhancements made in Capture One gave me inspiration to re-visit some of the old images I had discarded. The content was perfect for a new user of Capture One and I enjoyed every moment!

What an insightful and practical presentation. I'd never thought about doing this type of photography but having watched this I had a go myself and was pleased with how well the use of an iPad works as back light and source of colour.

If you are looking to learn Macro Photography then this workshop is for you. Have your camera ready along with a couple of bits of wood, clear glass casserole dish, water, olive oil and washing up liquid and either a tablet showing a multicoloured background or some vibrant multicoloured card or wallpaper, as you follow along with Neil he will show you what camera settings to use and also how to edit your photos to bring out the great textures and colours and also answer any questions you have.

If you haven't used Capture One before it's great powerful piece of photo editing software and there is a dedicated version for Nikon camera owners out there. David takes you through all that you need to know to get you up and running in no time with easy to follow demonstrations. If you are finding that you are getting out of your depth with other photo editing software then this course is for you and you will be amazed at how easy it is to get a grasp of. I would highly recommend.

If you have looked at landscape photos in magazines or online & are wondering how to get the silky smooth water or how to get the vibrant colours at sunrise or sunset then this is the course for you. Neil & Ricci take you through what filters & lens they have in their camera bags to get these type of shots & more. Throughout the workshop they take you through a series of photos, what camera settings, filters & where the photos were taken to help you achieve the perfect shot. Highly recommend.

If you haven't been getting the results from your on camera pop up flash, unsure where to look next to improve your photography with the use of speedlight(s) look no further as Neil & Ricci take you through what options you have by using practical shoots & explains what kit you need, the settings of your camera, speedlight(s) & the placement, whether to use a softbox to get you that perfect shot. Neil & Ricci will answer any questions you may have throughout the workshop. Would highly recommend.

I was interested in the S/W for tethered shooting, which was not covered in much detail, and as an alternative to DXO Photolab - the variants of which I have used for many years. The course showed me that this is a viable alternative - or even companion depending on usage . I've invested in a copy as a result and will spend a couple more weeks going through it. Overall a good course that met 90% of what I wanted - it led to a purchase so has to be alright!
