A very well structured and neatly delivered session from Neil (Freeman) and Ricci (Chera) who have successfully brought their workshop into an online space, understandably very different from any other workshop I have attended which gave both trainers an opportunity to explain how they composed some of their images. As a novice landscape photographer the two hour course gave me a number of very helpful pointers and basic principals to think about which I had not previously considered.

The explainations of how shots were taken, settings, composition etc where extremely well explained and easy to follow, excellent tips and encouragement on the use of higher ISO and great information on equipment and lenses that are best suited for wildlife. Brilliant, so informative.... Composition insight, camera set up, filters, and all the location information for this amazing area. I gained lots of information that I can use in my landscape photography in the future, opened my eyes to not being scared to try things out and I now understand where I need to focus and which depth of field to use to get sharp shots as well as gaining the enthusiasm to be brave with my ND grad filters. This was a thought provoking interactive presentation, taking the participants from the basics, through more advanced concepts and on to answering delegates' individual questions within the context of the delivery. In addition to providing 'rules of thumb' the course gave the underlying rationale on which one could go away and build on. The two perspectives of Neil and Ricci provided a balanced delivery, allowing the recipient the ability to build their own style of landscape photography. 10/10

I really enjoyed this course. Not only was it a chance to enjoy seeing some great photos but to understand more about how they were achieved. The advice was practical and helpful, including some good advice about wellies! The techniques would easily apply to all sort of landscapes environment such as photographing lochs here in the HIghlands.

Great presentation by both Neil and Ricci. Stunning images and very informative about the locations - I thought I knew the Lake District, but I have clearly only scratched the surface. These free online courses throughout lockdown are a great Idea and have been great inspiration - thanks to everyone involved.
