Ricci explained the Z8 AF options very well and left me with copious notes to digest and tips to test out. Very worthwhile given the leap forward in the AF system.

Sometimes I'm so near yet so far with my photography knowledge - not just what I learned of DSLRs before going mirrorless, but even what I learned from manual focus SLRs before going digital. So an overview and detailed explanations of AF in my Z8 was invaluable. Ricci's teaching set out early on a clear structure for where he was going. How he knows so much about the various Nikon models always amazes me. I now have copious notes that I took in Evernote on my phone to revise and refer to!

Much of the course is available in the paper or online manual, but the Zoom presentation brings otherwise dry and dull instructions to life and the demonstrations and illustrations make the information memorable. Very useful, thank you.

The pace, the content and the fact it’s an actual tutor, rather than slides and a recorded voice over, makes it far superior to other lessons.
I did learn a lot and was thoroughly delighted, after only a year at camera club, to have been able to follow everything you spoke about for the full 3 hours. I liked the hands on tips during the lesson.

A great introduction to my new Z6ii. The presentation style was relaxed but the key features were set out methodically. I really liked the way different camera settings were related to the different types of photography you might want to do and why some were appropriate and others not. I came away feeling much more confident and inspired to use my camera effectively.

I really enjoyed attending and learnt a lot from others questions and I also had plenty of opportunities to ask my own questions. Neil and Ricci are extremely knowledgeable and informative. Following this session I ordered a new Prime Z mount lens for using on city breaks in Europe. I will look forward to future sessions!
