COURSE: Getting Started with Photography - Pt. 1

I'm an automatic user who wants to progress to have more control. I find the relationship between iso, aperture and shutter a difficult concept to understand. This course was at the perfect level for me. Very informative and thorough. Also allowing questions which were handled as we ran was great.
Thanks very much I leant a lot and really appreciated it.

COURSE: How to: Macro Photography

This course was really useful as I have a Nikkor 105mm 2.8 lens and love experimenting with it around the garden. As with all the Nikon on-line courses Neil and Ricci gave a brilliant presentation with lots of great tips. They posted some amazing photographs during the tutorial especially some really abstract funky ones from Neil.

another fascinating insight

COURSE: How to: Macro Photography

While this means of communication is not as intimate as training at the school, it is a very close replacement. The class was bigger than any that I have attended in Fitzrovia, but this means the message might be reaching more, which can only be good for Nikon. However, unless the wrong impression is given, this was not simply a sales pitch for Nikon: it was inclusive of those with little knowledge but was of considerable assistance to those of us with quite a track record.

Great introduction to photography

COURSE: Getting Started with Photography - Pt. 1

Ricci and Neil covered off the basics of using a DSLR and the exposure triangle. It was really useful to be told what the various buttons on a camera do and to understand how shutter speed, aperture and ISO work and interact. They were both extremely knowledgeable and were able to answer everyone's questions, even specific ones about particular camera models. We were also given a number of handy hints and tricks to use when taking photos.

COURSE: How to: Macro Photography

I personally do a lot of Macro Photography, but you are never sure if what you do is the best way, so it is always nice to see another persons perspective.Having purchased a Z7 there were some features of the camera I didn't know it had, so need to go and try them out.

Review of online course Getting Started with DSLR

RATING: 5 of 5
DATE: MAY 2020

COURSE: Getting Started with Photography - Pt. 1

This was an excellent experience. The first part of the course covered all the main buttons on Nikon DSLR cameras, what they were and what they did. The second part covered the exposure triangle and how to set up and use the camera for aperture, shutter speed and ISO. The course was well paced and there was ample opportunity to ask questions using Zoom Chat.

COURSE: Getting Started with Photography - Pt. 1

An excellent overview of using your Digital camera. For me in many ways a refresher course, but having more experience over the years with film it made me realise I have unlearn some of the way I work to now get the best results.
