A great five days spent shooting the Highlands landscapes and wildlife with some Astro thrown in for good measure.
The weather was not always kind to us but Neil and Elly always seemed to make it work.

From start to finish my week in the highlands was a fantastic experience,
The locations were excellent and Neil did everything possible to get us in the right location for the weather at the time.
It was great to meet up with old friends and make new ones too, and the whole week was a very relaxed environment for you to grow your skills.
We had a mixture of landscape and wildlife on the trip, and the variety in the locations was also well balanced.

I am disabled. Ricci taught me everything I needed to know about the camera and how to get the most out of it. Ricci was totally awesome. No question was silly to him. I had a fabulous photo shoot at the Photography Show - it exceeded my expectations, was professionally run with a great tutor (Neil) who was energetic, open to the participants' ideas and full of knowledge that he shared. Emily the model was equally professional, patient and understood how to help me to get the shots had in mind.

Considering the forecast and the actual weather we had a great day. Neil managed to turn things round to make an interesting day. We managed a few shot at Stainforth avoiding much of the wet and Neil guided us thro looking after our gear in the wet, along wth helping us get some good photorgaphs. We retired to the Knight Stainforth Cafe for lunch and to escape the worst rain. During this time Neil took us thro some presentations on composition and also looking at post processing.A great day.

The weather for this course was not as good as the Derwentwater course the day before. But that gave Neil the opertunaty to show what images could be made when the conditions are not the best.

Neil provided very extensive information about astrophotography from lens choice to technical details of capturing milkyway and star trails. Neil was very helpful and showed some examples of his work.

I have only marked 4.8 out of 5 for the reason of the course was aimed at people who had more knowledge than myself. Neil the tutor was great and helped me progress further than I imagined. As a total beginner to my new camera and non iphone photography the course was a bit overwhelming for me. I should have done the online course for the Z7ii before doing the location course. I have no regrets in doing the course and looking forward to the next !
